Maintenance Contracts

Under current guidelines it is recommended that Air Conditioning systems have regular maintenance carried out in 6 or 12 monthly intervals to ensure the system continues to operate at optimum performance. For sites where there are excessive airborne particles and high usage, it is recommended that the maintenance be carried out in 6 or 12 monthly intervals.

Every Air Conditioning system installed by us carries a standard One Year Warranty, for extra piece of mind we can offer maintenance contracts where by engineers call to the site at a prearranged frequency to carry out routine maintenance against specific checklists to ensure the efficient operation with a view to reducing breakdowns and extending the potential working life of the equipment.

Air Conditioner Filters

The most important maintenance task that will ensure the efficiency of your air conditioner is to routinely replace or clear its filters. Clogged, dirty filters block normal air flow and reduce a system’s efficiency significantly. With normal air flow obstructed, air that bypasses the filter may carry dirt directly into the evaporation coil and impair the coils heat absorbing capacity.

Air Conditioner Coils

The air conditioner’s evaporator coil and condenser coil collect dirt over their months and years in service. A clean filter prevents the evaporator coil from soiling quickly. In time, however, the evaporator coil will still collect dirt. This dirt reduces air flow and insulates the coil which reduces its ability to absorb heat. Therefore, your evaporator coil should be checked every year and cleaned as necessary.

Refrigerant Levels

If your air conditioner is low on refrigerant or does not match the manufactures specifications the performance and efficiency of the unit is impaired and may cause serious damage to your compressor.

Electronic failure

The compressor and fan controls can wear out, corrosion of wire and terminals is also a problem in many systems, electrical connections and contacts should be checked during a professional service call.

Water Removal

All air conditioners produce water, which should be removed safely. Drainage can fall via gravity or may be assisted with the use of a condensate pump to a suitable outlet. Regular maintenance can remove blocks, debris collection and dust, any blockage or partial blockage can be detrimental to your condensate pump. Regular maintenance can ensure your pump works trouble free and efficiently.

Additional areas that should be checked

Thermostat settings, remote controls, moving components, general operation and temperature checks.
